Want to disable People You May Know on Facebook? Here’s how to do it

Facebook is unarguably the most popular social media networking site in the world with a mammoth userbase of over 2.5 billion. The Mark Zuckerberg led platform helps users to share their stuff with othets and access the content shared by people we choose to follow. Over the years, Facebook has become an essential part of our life and it provides uncountable features to make our experience as smooth as possible. However, there are some features in Facebook which is not that useful for some people, if not all. The section ‘People You May Know’ is one such feature of this multinational platform.

For the unaware, People You May Know service constantly recommends profiles or pages that one should checkout or follow on Facebook, based on the info provided by a user. It’s a great feature which can take you across many profiles you might want to be friends with. However, it has it’s anti-voters and a number of users might not want to come across those regular recommendations. If you are also one of them who doesn’t want this ‘People You May Know’ feature appearing on your feed, here’s how you can turn it off.

To shut this service, follow these simple steps on your Facebook App:-

Step 1: Open the app and under ‘Settings and Privacy’ tab from the icon on the top right corner of the screen, click on Settings.

Step 2: Now scroll down to Notifications feature and click on Notification Settings from the available options.

Step 3: In Notification Settings, head to People You May Know section under What Notifications You Receive.

Step 4: After entering in the People You May Know settings, you can simply disable the recommendations by turning off Allow Notifications On Facebook option. You can also choose where you don’t want to receive these notifications fro Push, SMS or Email.

Note:- If you are surfing Facebook on any Browser or Desktop, you can make the exact same changes by following the above mentioned steps in Settings tab.
