When it comes to smartphones, Samsung and Apple are two brands who are far ahead than their competitors, in terms of performance, quality and all the other aspects as well. Over the years, these two companies have established a staggering userbase across the entire globe and without any doubt, both of them surpasses our expectations whenever they launches any new smartphone model. However, not many are aware of this fact that both Apple and Samsung are the most copied brands in the world. Shocking, isn’t it?
It’s well known that whenever any smartphone company launches a new version or model of their brand, a lot of manufacturers, majority of them are from China, releases fake smartphones by copying the original phones. They manufactures the duplicate phones and sell them as first copy or sometimes as original by putting all the official lables.
Now, a Chinese Publication called CNBeta has unveiled a surprising report by claiming that Samsung, Apple and Huawei are some top brands which are the priority of fake/duplicate smartphone makers in China. Needless to say, the South Korean company is leading all these brands as over 34% of the fake smartphones market is filled with Samsung, followed by Apple which has close to 13% market share.
Other popular smartphone brands like Xiaomi, Oppo, Honor, Asus, Gionee and Asus are also a victim of this duplicity. Xiaomi is also a greatly popular brand among the fake phone manufacturers as the China based company falls at fourth spot with a share of over 7%.
On the other hand, Apple has recently surpassed Samsung to emerge the top smartphone vendor for the first time in four years. As per a new report published in leading daily Gartner, Apple sold over 79.9 million iPhones in the last quarter (October to December) of 2020 while Samsung sold only 62.1 million smartphones. For the unaware, Apple’s iPhone 12 series is being sold on a rapid note and it’s one of the major reason behind their domination during the above mentioned period.
